Air Beds And Their Many Benefits

      December 5th, 2011

If you have never owned an air bed, you may want to think about getting one. Air beds are a great alternative to having a designated guest room. They inflate in less than ten minutes and thus they can be used only when needed. There are many reasons why air beds are a great choice for any home.

These beds become the size of normal beds when inflated, but in their normal state they can fit into a duffel bag. They can either be used regularly as your bed or for various occasions, such as when you are visiting a friend or when they are visiting you. When visiting friends, you can avoid sleeping on couches or on the floor when you own one of these beds.

Air mattresses are great because they free up so much space in your home without taking up much room during storage. They are easy to store in a closet, as they do not take up much more room than a sleeping bag, yet they are much more comfortable.

Not only are air mattresses convenient, they also are easy to inflate. After placing the deflated bed where you would like it to go, all you need to do is connect the bed’s plug into a wall outlet and press the “inflate” button. You hold down the button for a few minutes until it feels firm to the touch. It takes less than ten minutes to inflate. After inflating, you can add sheets, blankets, and pillows on top of the bed and it is ready for bedtime.

When you want to put the bed away, just remove all of the bedding. Push the “deflate” button until all the air has escaped. Be sure to up the manual deflating hatch. Be sure that all of the air has escaped, or it may be too large to fit into the duffel bag. Once all this has been done, you can zip up the bag and move the mattress anywhere you wish.

The one issue with using these beds often is that they can get punctured by sharp objects. If you notice that air is escaping, listen for the leak until you can see it. Deflate the bed, add super glue, and when dry add duct tape over the hole. From then on it should be back to its original condition.

Air mattresses are the perfect accessory for social people. They allow you to have a comfortable, restful sleep no matter where you are.

      Letter from the Owner

      December 1st, 2011

      Dear Customers,

Many of you have come to us and have shared how you purchased an expensive name brand mattress, only to have that mattress lose its support within 1 or 2 years. Then, either the store you bought it from had gone out of business or through loopholes in the warranty neither the store or factory would fix the problem. Whether you buy from Fox or not, be prepared to  ask questions.

Be sure to outline exactly what it is you need from your bed. Do you have back pain, headaches or arm pain? Are your back and shoulder muscles tense and sore?  Do you have circulatory problems that lead to swollen feet and calves with pain? If any of these symptoms sound like you, then your mattress was not designed with you in mind. A quality mattress should have the right support and most dense comfort cushioning where you need it. Either too soft or too hard will not give you relief from these or other symptoms. Beware of the salesperson who talks strictly price without explaining the features and benefits as they pertain to you.

As a third generation mattress designer/builder, our mission has always been to build a better mattress (custom to your needs) than we could buy and resell from any other manufacturer or supplier. In addition, we offer our product to you, our customer, at a low factory price. Our sales staff is non-commissioned which results in no pressure to you.

Our LOCAL manufacturing facility allows us to build each mattress by hand, using skilled local craftsmen and women. We use the best materials ( no imports ) and draw from these generations of sleep knowledge to provide you a better nights’s sleep.
